Accessing the AVD Cloud from a PC
*Note* - The following steps need to be preformed on your local device, outside of any Cloud environment.
Step1: Installing the needed software
To download the AVD Cloud software on your PC, go to the website rdclient.gtscomp.com
Depending on your browser security, you may receive the below warning. If so, click on Keep to allow the download to complete.
Once completed, under your downloads, click on the file to execute it.
If prompted, check the box accepting the License Agreement, then click Next.
When the installation begins, click on Next to continue.
You may be prompted to allow the app to make changes to your device. If you are not logged in with an account that has administrative access, you will be prompted to login with an account that does.
To complete the installation click Finish
Step2: Configuring the Remote Desktop application
The first time you launch the Remote Desktop application, you will be prompted to Subscribe.
Here you will enter your work email address, also know as your Microsoft username, then click Next.
When prompted, enter your password, and your Two Factor authenticator code.
Note if you have not yet configured your Authenticator app, you will be prompted to complete that process. If needed you can access the below Knowledge Base article for detailed instructions.
Setting up Authenticator for your Microsoft Account
Once the process is complete, you will see your available Cloud resources. At this point, you can simply click on the resource you would like to launch.
The first time you access a resource you may be prompted to Enter your credentials. Here just enter your Microsoft account password and check the box to “Remember me”, then click OK.
